Together Against Loneliness

  • Mar 21

World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated each year on March 21. This year’s theme, Together Against Loneliness, reminds us of the importance of connection and belonging.

We all feel lonely sometimes. But many people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities experience loneliness more often and need stronger community support. A study found that 39% of people with intellectual disabilities often feel lonely, compared to 14% of people without disabilities.

This year we are calling on everyone around the world to stand Together Against Loneliness.
