Every year on September 9th, communities across the world recognize Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day. It’s a day to honour the strength of individuals and families living with FASD, and to raise awareness about the unique challenges they face.
Why Awareness Matters
FASD is often invisible. Many people don’t realize how common it is or how it impacts everyday life.
Families need community support. Raising awareness helps reduce stigma and builds stronger networks of understanding.
Inclusion makes a difference. Whether at school, at work, or in the community, acceptance and patience can help people with FASD thrive.
To everyone living with FASD, and to the families walking alongside them: you are not alone. Your resilience inspires us, and your voices matter.
